Have you ever struggled with mental health? Do you know someone that has; your child, mom, dad, sister, brother, neighbor, friend? Would you like to help but unsure how? Than I ask you to help me, help them, by joining me in my fundraiser for Bigger Than The Trail. BTTT, with the help of Betterhelp, can offer those in need, free mental health counseling services. They just need our help to make a real change, to SHINE THE LIGHT ON MENTAL HEALTH!
I personally wake each morning with C-PSTD on one shoulder and few other friends on the other. I have lived thru the highs and lows. Without my wonderful trail running friends and awesome organizations like Bigger Than The Trail, I wouldn't have fought to get this far. We are never in this alone. One foot in front of the other is the best pace in life. I am a back of the pack runner so huge shout out to those of us that come out to enjoy the scenery. If you ever see me on the trail, say hi! I'm always up for a chat or a hug.
I completed my 1st 100 miler the end of March 2023 it was the most rewarding mental challenge I could have ever asked for. We experienced storm delays, tornado watch delays, trudged thru 6+ inches of mud, washouts and more. But I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. This event tested me, there were times I didn't want to go on but I was surrounded by amazing people. People that supported my mental health journey & with that & what I have learned thru my own therapy, I pushed forward. This was just another great example of the support that is out there for those of us that need it & it needs to be shared, it needs to get to those that don't have access to it.
We all need a someone to pull us out of the darkness. It doesn't need to be someone we know, it can be a total stranger. A smile, a hug, a word of encouragement, all goes a long way. Your donation will do go even longer than any distance imaginable!
