Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for BIGGER THAN THE TRAIL. This is an amazing organization and community that connects people who need help with free access to mental health counselling in Canada and the United States.
In 2021, I began my 17th year of post-secondary eduction en route to becoming a spine surgeon, while COVID-19 continued to make life unpredictable. I sustained significant burnout. However, I went through much darker times and suffered from severe depression. I had to accept that I needed help and make getting better a priority.
I am alive and doing well today because of the compassionate care and counselling I received. I am also an avid runner and getting out the trails is one of the best things I do for my mental health. I am very fortunate to have access to excellent mental health counselling from several healthcare professionals. However, there is very limited access to these resources and there are many people who need and want support and help. So please considering make a donation to help people who are in need access mental health counselling services.
On May 21st, I will be supporting Bigger Than The Trail’s Block Party in support of mental health by hitting the trials. Please show your support by making a donation of any size to help people access the mental health help they want and deserve. Thank you!
